Spooky Halloween in Iceland

We spent the Halloween weekend in Iceland with the kids and this time around Charlotte was feeling under the weather.  The weekend did anything but start that well as a car hit our vehicle as we were waiting at a red light right before we picked up the kids.  Damage was minimal though and more really of a bother than anything else.  Later the same night we went to the newest hamburger restaurant in Iceland, Hamborgarafabrikkan.  Everyone seemed happy with the choice and all in all we had a good time out.

I had prepared few Halloween activities as usual and on Saturday we played some board games, carved out few pumpkins and cooked a good italian meal, where Berglind cooked dessert and Kristjan helped with the main dishes.  Everyone dressed up as usual, myself as Halloween king, Kristjan as a Vampire and the girls as witches.

During the evening we had a rather fierce competition in Apple bobbing, mummy making, candy tossing and pumpkin bowling to mention a few.  None other than Kristjan was the overall winner of the Halloween Games 2010, with Berglind coming second.

All in all a fantastic weekend and we cannot wait until we see them again in December for our summer house arts and crafts weekend.
